Healthy Pumpkin Latte

Yup it’s fall and I’m making everything pumpkin and since so many people often opt for the latest pumpkin spice specialty drinks at local coffee shops I wanted to make a healthier version of a pumpkin latte. So skip the calories and artificial ingredients, save your $5 and join me in making your own healthy, pumpkin latte at home. Filled with delicious healthy, wholesome ingredients this pumpkin latte will keep your fueled all morning long.

Adding in pumpkin puree along with Genuine Health fermented vegan proteins + is an excellent way of getting fibre, beta carotene and protein into your morning coffee.  Fermented proteins contribute to healthy gut flora, are easy to digest and are non allergenic, plus they contain a balance of all the essential amino acids.

Opting for coconut milk adds in some healthy fat and allows this drink to be dairy free, plus it takes only minutes to make at home. Forget the long lineups at Starbucks and Tim Hortons, get your spice on with this healthy homemade pumpkin latte.

Don’t care for pumpkin, add in some leftover cooked sweet potato instead, it will be simply delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 2 tbsp Genuine Health fermented vegan proteins+ natural vanilla flavour
  • 1 cup coffee
  • 1/2 cup lite coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  1. Brew coffee
  2. Mix all ingredients in a blender until frothy, enjoy
